善人なほもって 往生を遂ぐ。いはんや、悪人をや。しかるを、世の人、常にいはく『悪人なほ往生す。いかにいはんや、善人をや。』
親鸞(1173-1262)の言葉を唯円が書き残したと伝えられる。善人が救われて当然、本当に救われなければならないのは自分の罪におののく悪人であるとの意と考えられる。
